Section 8 in Texas: how the waitlists work and how to apply
Texas has no single Section 8 list. The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs runs vouchers in 34 counties, and local housing offices run them everywhere else, each with its own list. Most lists open only for a short window, and many pick names by lottery. Apply only on each office's own website.
