On paper

Ask the housing office for a paper application.

Documents you'll need

  • Signed original application with all pages completed and every page of required proof attached
  • Wages: 6 weekly or 3 every-two-weeks current pay stubs in a row
  • Or an employer letter showing hire date
  • Weekly hours and pay rate
  • Social Security
  • SSI or SSD: copy of the current award letter
  • Unemployment
  • Workers' compensation or public assistance: award letter
  • Check copy
  • Or current budget sheet
  • Child support: proof from a support collection agency or court papers
  • Self-employment or no income: the BMHA affidavit form that matches your situation
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or eligible immigration status for each household member (signed declaration
  • Immigration papers if not a citizen)
  • Proof for any waitlist preference you claim
  • Such as a DD-214 for veterans
